1. Client-Side JSON Processing (Zero-Upload Architecture)
The primary functional tools on this website—including the JSON Graph Visualizer, Collapsible Tree Viewer, Code Editor, Formatter, Validator, and Diagram Exporter—are engineered to process data entirely inside your web browser using client-side JavaScript.
- No Server Uploads: When you paste JSON text or upload local
.jsonfiles using the HTML5 File API, your data is loaded into local browser memory. It is never transmitted to our web servers, third-party APIs, cloud databases, or remote loggers. - Local Browser Storage (
localStorage): For user convenience across sessions or language switches, the editor caches your active JSON string in your browser's local storage under the keyjson_visualizer_content. This data never leaves your computer and can be cleared at any time by clearing your browser cache or site data. - Offline Operation: Once assets are cached by your browser, parsing, tree filtering, syntax checking, and diagram exports can function without active network communication.
2. Hosting & Server Infrastructure Logs
While your submitted JSON payloads are never uploaded, visiting any public website requires basic network data interchange. This website is hosted and delivered globally via static hosting and content delivery network (CDN) providers, such as Cloudflare.
When your browser requests a web page or static asset (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript files, fonts), standard web server access logs are automatically generated by the hosting infrastructure. These technical logs may record:
- Your Internet Protocol (IP) address
- Browser type and version (User-Agent string)
- Date, time, and timezone of the HTTP request
- Requested URL path and referring website URL
- HTTP response status code and transferred bytes
Purpose of Collection: These server logs are collected strictly for legitimate security purposes, including mitigating Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks, detecting malicious bot scraping, diagnosing edge delivery errors, and ensuring network integrity. These logs do not contain your JSON payloads.
3. Cookies, Tracking & Analytics
We prioritize user privacy and minimize tracking to the fullest extent possible:
- No Advertising or Cross-Site Tracking: We do not deploy third-party advertising cookies, retargeting pixels, or behavioral tracking networks.
- Technical Cookies & Storage: We use strictly necessary local storage mechanisms solely to remember functional user preferences (such as selected language, theme, editor view, or your cookie consent choices).
- Google Analytics 4 & Google Consent Mode v2: When configured, we utilize Google Analytics 4 to collect aggregated, non-identifying telemetry (such as aggregate page views, high-level device types, and broad anonymous feature interactions like graph export clicks). Analytics storage is denied by default until explicit consent is granted. Analytics scripts are strictly isolated from your editor data; pasted JSON, file contents, node names, and JSONPath queries are never sent to Google Analytics.
4. Communications via Email
If you choose to contact us directly via email at contact@yourdomain.com (e.g. to report a bug or suggest a feature), we collect your email address, your name (if provided in your email client), and any correspondence history.
We use this information solely to read, investigate, and respond to your inquiry. We never sell, rent, or distribute your email address to commercial marketing lists.
5. Data Security
All traffic between your browser and our website is encrypted in transit using industry-standard Transport Layer Security (TLS/HTTPS). Because all data visualization occurs client-side, the most critical security boundary is your own browser runtime environment. We recommend keeping your web browser updated to the latest stable version.
6. Inquiries & Privacy Contact
Depending on your jurisdiction (such as under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) or California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA)), you may possess rights regarding access, correction, or deletion of any personal data we process (such as email correspondence).
